1/43 Scale Essex Wire Cobra

It's surprising that the Essex Wire Cobra has not been produced in 1/43 since it is such a famous car. Other than a few small modifications to the trim, this was a simple tear down and repaint. The graphics were tougher than usual because the available decals were too short to do the entire hood on this car, and the hood scoop needed to have decals applied to it in sections prior to applying the racing stripe. Then the stripe had to be modified to keep from bowing inward over the scoop.  The decals are from Jim Heller Decals and Custom Cars and include decals to make the car in several different versions.
